Adaptable air blast nozzles

Within the ¼” steel construction of the outer cabinet are three Clemco #6 wide-spray nozzles with Clemco #5 air jets. The cabinet is lined with replaceable steel barrel heads and mill liners, which can be switched out for heavier options if required. The height and position of nozzles can be easily adjusted or replaced depending on media and production needs. 

In-unit dust collector

Dust collector options vary, but start with our six-cartridge reverse pulse collector with a standard Magnehelic gauge. A cyclone-style reclaimer is standard and includes options for lighter or more aggressive media.

Operator Safety

Safety features are in place to protect operators including a two-hand, two-button door lift/lower. The 1.5 Cube Air Blast is built using commonly available parts for simple maintenance.

Features/Specifications

Dura-Blast Abrasive Air Blast System

  • Nozzles: Three (3) Clemco #6 wide-spray nozzles with Clemco #5 air jets. Nozzle height and position are easily adjustable. Blast nozzle options are available, depending on type of media to be used and production requirements. Please discuss with your sales rep. prior to ordering your machine.

Cabinet Construction

  • Outer Cabinet: 1⁄4” steel construction, fork truck pockets for easy placement. Front access door to protective screen. Side access panels to help with part replacement and maintenance. Standard drop down ramp for ease of unloading parts.
  • Cabinet Lining: Replaceable steel barrel heads and mill liners. Heavier options available depending on abrasives used.
  • Mill: Continuous rubber mill belt with tumbling ridges and drain holes sized for your abrasive.
  • Mill Drive: Chain driven.
  • Work Loading Height: 37.5”. Optional machine risers available.
  • Working Dimensions: 18” between barrel heads, and 20” diameter, for a 1.5 cubic foot mill capacity.
  • Mill Door: Standard vertical air lift door with replaceable door liner.

Power & Air Requirements

  • Control Panel: Nema 12 electrical enclosure, standard options include 115 volt/single phase and optional voltage/3 phase, dial cycle timer, heavy duty push buttons, and overload protection.
  • Required Air: Approximately 160 CFM at 80-100 PSI to operate nozzles, door, and dust collector pulse cleaning cycle. Electric Motors: 1HP mill drive motor, and 2HP dust collector motor.

Abrasive Cleaning & Recovery System

  • Pull Through Reclaimer: Cyclone style reclaimer with options available for lighter or more aggressive media.
  • Abrasive Flow: Adjustable depending on air pressure, nozzle size, and air jets used. Different options available based on customer supplied air, abrasive to be used, and production requirements.
  • Abrasives: Most light-weight abrasives can be used, and the initial abrasive charge is 50-100 lbs., dependent upon type of media used. Please discuss with your sales rep., the type and size of abrasive to be used.
  • Dust Collector: 6 cartridge, reverse pulse collector with a standard Magnehelic gauge. Various options are available.

Standard Operating & Safety Information

  • Safety: Abrasive nozzles will not blast if mill door is not closed. Mill belt will not reverse if the door is in the down position. Two-hand, two button door up system to keep operator away from the door as it is raising, and two hand operation with safety lever for lowering the door. Standard guards, covers, warning labels, and electrical protections in place.
  • Noise: Approximately 80 DB if properly maintained and in good functioning condition.
  • Shipping Information: Approximately 1380 lbs., ships in one piece on a standard trailer, and overall footprint is 44’’ wide x 47” deep x 95” tall, excluding cyclone reclaimer and dust collector.
